Lando is our herd bull. He has both looks and personality. He is short and stocky. Lando has nice depth of body with a squared off stance. Lando is watchful of his herd but respectful of his people. I call out to him and he comes up for back scratches. Lando's first calves are hitting the ground in 2024 and so far we are very impressed. His calves are averaging 40 pounds birthweight.

Stelle is a larger mini / classic polled Hereford. Stelle is a calm cow, but is not a fan of pets and scratches. Stelle is a large yet feminine cow with beautiful dark cherry red coloration and lots of white. Stelle has good length of body but I wish for more width and depth. She has produced three calves for us so far and is a wonderful mom with excellent milk production.

Maybelle is the most affectionate cow in our herd. She loves being scratched and brushed, but don't forget the treats! Maybelle is larger - almost "classic" size - but still a feminine cow. She is a gorgeous dark red color. Maybelle has excellent length of body and very square. She is an easy keeper. Her first calf arrived in 2024. She had no trouble with an unassisted delivery and has proven to be an excellent mom with great milk production.

Shelby is a cute curly haired Hereford. She is horned but was dehorned by her breeder. Shelby has many traits we hope to see in all of our females one day: small but not tiny with excellent width and depth. She has beautiful coloration and a dense coat. Shelby is an easy keeper on grass alone. She had her first calf in 2024, Bonnie. Bonnie had one leg turned back so Shell needed help in the delivery process. As a result, she didn't recognize Bonnie as her calf. We are confident her next calving experience will be better.

Legacy is a stunningly beautiful and tiny heifer. Look at those flashy markings! She has a great temperament and loves scratches. Legacy has a long yet balanced body and very feminine appearance. She has good depth of body and her width is really filling out with age. She is very small, either a tiny 00 or possibly a larger 000 frame.

We were checking on the cows on a very cold night in November 2022 and there she was. Ruby is not registered but is being retained to start our commercial Mini Hereford program. She is a well built heifer: stout and long while having some of her mother's flash.

Craig Bonnie
Reg: P44591703 DNA: pending Estimated Frame Score: Calf Birth Weight: 41 pounds Bonnie is a brand new heifer calf on the farm! She is out of Shelby and sired by Lando. Shelby was a first-time heifer giving birth to Bonnie and needed some help positioning Bonnie. As a result, Shelby rejected Bonnie and she is being bottle-raised by us. Bonnie is a sweet calf who is growing like a weed. So far, she is showing a lot of promise with quick growth, width, and being an easy keeper just like her mom. We hope Bonnie will become our first show heifer. |
