Standard-Bred Poultry
The Craig Farm is home to Jersey Giant chickens and Cayuga ducks. These are dual purpose, heritage breeds of poultry. We selectively breed according to the Standard of Perfection while also emphasizing utilitarian traits of egg laying, foraging ability, and birds that serve as a delicious table fowl.
We enjoy our birds so much that we are adding new and exciting projects to the farm. My incubator is nearly full as of March with eggs for these various projects. Pending hatch rates, we will hopefully be adding Sussex chickens, Magpie, and Welsh Harlequin ducks.
